Introduced in 1992, Mercedes W124 Cabrio was nicknamed ‘Sportline’, had a six-cylinder-petrol-engine with 220 HP. As opposed to the 124 coupé, the cabriolet is bigger, more powerful and has a convertible top, but it definitely doesn’t lag behind its hardtop brother in safety. In 1993, it was partly reconstructed, the model received a new headliner with a better sound-proof system. The engine supply was widened in order to fit the four-cylinders: the E 200 with 136 HP and the E 230 with 150 HP. E 320 had 220 HP, and the peak E 36AMG had 272 HP.
