Good old times in Western Germany
The W123 models were manufactured between 1976 and 1985. This type was the most successful, and had the highest selling rates, altogether 2.7 million models were sold. Its predecessor was the W114/W115 model, the ancestor was the W124. Several variants of W123 include limousines, long limousines and station wagons. In Hungary, this model was known as ‘the greengrocers’ Mercedes’, for a lot of small business owners liked it. It was very popular among taxi drivers, as well. As it’s slipping out of the European market, it’s mainly used in the Middle East nowadays.
