The Jaguar XJ-S (later XJS) is a luxury kombi, produced by a British producer from 1976 till 1996. The XJ-S took over the E-Type (other name: XK-E) in September 1975 and this was the base of the XJ limousine. From this was developed the XK-F, but it was very different from its predecessor. Nevertheless, it does not identify itself with the sporting image, the XJ-S was the in sport competent kombi and has a much better aerodynamic than the E-type. The last XJ-S was produced on April 04, 1996. by this time 115 413 cars were released from this type during 21 production year. Into the place of the model came XK8.
