The Citroën DS has front engine, front driving, is a luxury-car distributed between 1955 and 1975 in versions kombi, sedan and cabriole.
The Italian sculptor and arts-and-crafts artist Flaminio Bertoni and the French aero-engineer André Lefèbvre have designed and built, Paul Magès developed the hydro-pneumatic level-controlling. He remarked that the DS with its aerodynamic, futuristic exterior and innovative technology have set new standards in travelling comfort, treating ability and brakes; by the way this was the first serial manufactured car with disc brakes.
The Ctroën has sold 1 455 746 DS, inclusive the 1 330 755 car produced by Quai Andre Citroën.
The DS reached third place in the list of the car with best influence.
